Join our Scholars Academy Board of Directors!

Are you looking for a way to contribute your time and talent to the Scholars Academy community?

The Scholars Academy Board of Directors is now accepting nominations for new members! You can nominate yourself or nominate someone who you think would be a great fit for our volunteer board.

Whether you have ties to Scholars Academy or are a member of our broader Charlotte community, we’d love to talk with you!

We are looking for volunteers from within and outside of the school community to help take Scholars Academy into its 20th year and beyond! We are seeking members who have a strong dedication to the mission of Scholars Academy and have a variety of professional backgrounds, including but not limited to the fields of Legal, Psychology, Gifted Education, Finance/Accounting, Development/Marketing, Educational Administration and Teaching.  Board members typically serve 3 year terms and spend approximately 8-10 hours a month working on various committee efforts and attending board meetings.

The Details:

Pursuant to Section 2.4 of the Scholars Academy Bylaws, anyone notified of the annual meeting "may nominate a person to be a director by delivering adequate information concerning that person's qualifications as a potential director, and a letter signed by such person agreeing to serve as a director if elected, to the Board of Directors no later than 30 days prior to such annual meeting."

The annual meeting is currently scheduled for June 24, 2019. Accordingly, we must receive a completed nomination form for each nominee no later than 5:00 PM, May 24, 2019.
