Minds in Motion Gifted Conference

The conference will be hosted at the Scholars Academy on Friday March 29th from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.  

Notable Presenters include:

 Richard Dennis Courtright, PhD, gifted education specialist for Duke TIP.   Dr. Courtright will run two sessions:  Gifted & Talented Students: Potential Problems and Pitfalls and  “JUST THE FACTS”: Understanding Our Gifted Children & Their Education

Kristen R. Stephens, Ph.D, Associate Professor, Duke University, Session Title:  See, Think, Wonder: Using Visual Thinking Strategies To Develop Critical Thinking and Literacy Skills

Cindy Gilson, PhD., Assistant Professor, University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  Session Title:  All About Soccer, by Zach…Wait! Is This Project Challenging Enough?

 Evelyn Metcalf, SENG Board President, AIG Teacher.  Session Title:  Social and Emotional Needs of the Gifted, SENG 101.
