Welcome to Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy! I am the Support Services Coordinator. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Cleveland State University. My Master of Arts degree is also in special education and is from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. I have been working in the special education field for over 20 years and have worked with students from birth through 8th grade. Before coming to Scholars Academy, I worked in Cabarrus County as several schools.
At Scholars Academy, I wear many hats. I am the testing coordinator, admissions coordinator, 504 coordinator, EC coordinator and EC teacher.
I grew up all over as I am an Army brat and lived in Ohio, Kansas, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Germany. I graduated from high school in Heidelberg, Germany which is one of my favorite places in the world. I have 2 kids in middle school, Declan and Terefech, and a dog, Baldr, We live in the University area of Charlotte. We are also fostering dogs through the Greater Charlotte SPCA. In my free time, I like to read, go to the beach and hang out with my kids.
